The 17th stage of the Tour de France guaranteed a first-class cycling show! The stage went up to the Col du Galibier, one of the most legendary mountain passes ever in the 114-year Tour history. More than 100 years ago, the first cyclists climbed the 2,642-meter-high Alpine Pass up. This year the legendary giant returned to the Tour program after a tunnel rebuild and six years break. The Galibier was the absolute highlight of this year's Tour de France.
Benedict Campbell was there and captured the craziness.
