The last half of the Tour of Britain packed a punch, with the team time trial, one hilly stage, a sprint stage and a final criterium style course the the capitol city. A podium place in the TTT set the mood for our squad, who carried on with aggresive racing through the final stages. Nils Politt took a strong second place on stage 7, going in an early break and staying away as the rain came down in Nottinghamshire. The sun finally broke through on Sunday, leaving the riders and fans with a brilliant afternoon taking in the best London has to offer with its tight and sharp city centre course. And like real Londoners, the team knew, the fastest way to make those 8 pm flights was to hop right onto the Picadilly Line post stage, 50 metres from the finish line, to make their last sprint of the race, to the check in desk.
