Whilst the sun beat down on the Champs Elysees, our brave squad for Ride London was facing a deluge of rain and wind just across the channel. In true form for the one day world tour race, Team KATUSHA ALPECIN raced aggressively, with Nathan Haas on the late attack. He joined an elite group of eight riders when mid race they broke away from the peloton, caught the existing break and charged forward through the windy lanes of Surrey.
With the exodus of sprinters from the Tour De France, many ended up using their form to contest Ride London, and the sprinter heavy field reeled in Haas and his companions with 10k to go. Chapeau to the brilliant effort and seizing the race.
